Welcome Pastor Matt Yount to the River Bank Run Team

As the Amway River Bank Run gets closer and closer, we at Hand2Hand are constantly amazed at the now over 70 participants that have committed to running (or walking) for the Hand2Hand team on May 9th. One of these great volunteers is Matt Yount, the lead pastor at VictoryPoint Ministries. Here’s what Pastor Matt had to say about his decision to join us:

“Truthfully, I was going to run the 25K this year anyway (with my brother and a buddy), but when I saw the opportunity to run to bring awareness to Hand2Hand, it was a no-brainer! Anything I can do to draw attention to not only the need but to an organization tangibly doing something about it is worth my effort. Jesus fed hungry people, and H2H is being Jesus to so many kids in the area! I am so grateful to H2H for creating the model and providing us the opportunity to love over 100 kids every week at the school we partner with. I continue to be blown away by God’s provision in this, and I love how doing H2H gives everyone in our church a chance to participate in this Kingdom-bringing effort to show God’s love by feeding hungry families.”

We thank Pastor Matt for his enthusiastic partnership with Hand2Hand, and we cannot wait to see our team of fantastic volunteers come together on May 9 as we all run or walk to eliminate child weekend hunger in West Michigan.
