Run or walk with us to help provide HOPE in the form of WEEKEND FOOD for kids!
Hand2Hand is proud to be a charity partner for the 45th Annual Amway River Bank Run on May 14, 2022.
Why run for this cause?
Over 80,000 kids in West Michigan receive free and reduced lunch at school 5 days a week. But what about the weekend? Hand2Hand exists to eliminate this 68-hour gap where some kids may be at risk of having little to no food.
See how we provide a weekend backpack full of food for students. Watch the FOLLOW THE BACKPACK video. Every $5.50 raised helps send home a backpack full of nutritious food including breakfast, lunch/dinner, and snack items for kids.
How hunger is a problem for students.
Childhood hunger impacts kids development physically, emotionally, academically, and socially. Hunger can also hinder a child's ability to reach their full potential and break the cycle of poverty as an adult.
When you decide to run with Hand2Hand, 100% of the funds that you raise will directly impact local students like Dustin (see his story below). Together we can spread hope, love, and food to 8,000 kids every weekend!
"The backpack of food helped keep our cabinets full."
